Born in ´82 Benjamin started playing drums at the age of 8 in a small town close to Frankfurt/Main Germany.
Being influenced by a one year long stay in the USA at age of 16 where he played Jazz drums and Classical percussion on several festivals throughout the Northwest and Canada, he decided to study his instrument after having received a scholarship from the Berklee College of Music in 2001. In 2003 he moved from Boston to Amsterdam to continue his studies. There he was member of the Pär Lammers Trio for which he recorded three albums for the Berlin based Label „Traumton Records“. Until 2009 he toured and worked with the Trio and other bands. In 2009 Benjamin moved to Spain where he worked with local musicians aswell as a studio drummer for the Spanish TV. Since 2011 he has been working with several groups in Berlin, Germany (Abisko Lights, Götz Rausch Orchester, Der Singende Tresen, Orangotango Music, Benjamin Hiesinger, a.o.)
